Today marks the launch of a brand new resource for presenters and presentation designers. Presentation-Guru.com is an online magazine dedicated to all things presentation.
To understand more about Presentation-Guru.com, I spoke with Emma Bannister, owner of the very awesome Australian presentation firm, Presentation Studio, and co-founder and visual design Lead for Presentation-Guru.com.

What was the inspiration for and what are your hopes for Presentation-Gurus?
The inspiration comes from a big hole in the market. Not having a reliable resource or place to go for any presentation insights that weren’t commercially motivated. Presentation-Guru.com is driven by an International team of speakers, writers, designers and entrepreneurs who strive to improve the quality of presentations and public speaking.
We believe the opportunity to change a single person’s mind can possibly change the world. Thus the website is a resource designed to help everyone deliver their message with more impact, energy and influence.
We found great presentations comprised of four things:
- Compelling content
- Visual impact
- Powerful delivery
- Effective technology
If you want to be a standout speaker, you need core skills in all of these areas.
What audiences are you hoping to reach and how can those audiences get the most out of Presentation-Gurus?
Our focus is to support everyone in the Presentation industry:
- Presentation Professionals – designers, writers, trainers, consultants looking for quick, fresh ideas.
- Experienced Public Speakers / presenters looking for new concepts.
- Newbies / students interested in tools that help them write and deliver presentations that increase their capabilities and build skills that garner a competitive edge in their careers.
What are you most excited about with regard to Presentation-Gurus?
I’m personally committed to transforming the culture of presentations because I see the positive global impact of influential speakers.
We all have the power to make a difference in communication and humanity by combining clear content with visual design in all we do – home, work and life.
