Bill Gates used his annual TED platform this week to discuss the unfortunate state of school budgets. As a speaker, I think he is getting more and more comfortable—I’ve talked about the “education of Bill Gates before.” His slides this year were good, definitely better than two years ago (malaria), but I don’t think they were as effective or well-designed as last year’s talk on the global emissions.
